Fire safety
The smoke/heat detectors have been fitted for your safety. Do not disconnect them. If there is a fault with a detector, please report it online via report a maintenance issue
Please keep internal doors closed to help to slow the spread of fire/smoke. In particular, close all doors when you are asleep or out
Do not smoke in the property or do anything which may increase fire risk eg use candles, chip pans etc
Do not store flammable items (eg cardboard boxes etc) in the vicinity of the electricity fuse box
Do not lock yourself or anyone else in a room to ensure easy escape in the event of fire
Plan your escape route in the event of fire
Switch off and unplug appliances not in use
Do not overload extension leads and plug sockets
Remove pans from the heat if you leave the kitchen
Clean the oven and hob frequently as a build-up of grease can ignite a fire
Make sure you provide the correct address when reporting a fire
The self-closing devices must not be tampered with. Please report any fault or damage to a fire door via report a maintenance issue
In the event of any fire, call 999 and evacuate the property
